Confident performance

Jane wants to win a TV talent show and become a star.

She entered last year and passed the first two rounds of the singing competition, but then hit a brick wall. She became nervous, anxious and lost confidence the more she progressed. She felt her energy ebbing away and she began to buckle under the pressure. Her greatest fear was rejection and she took it hard when it came.

She is keen to try again and felt that hypnotherapy might help her overcome her doubts and fears and boost her self-confidence.

She had tried hypnotherapy once before to stop smoking, but it hadn’t worked.

After taking a case history, in which I discovered a number of factors that had a bearing on her problems, we began treatment.

She responded extremely well to the visualisation work that I did with her in which she imagined herself performing at her very best in a relaxed and confident manner. She saw her name on billboards having gained the success that she desired.

A few days later she went for the first round of the competition and was successful.

She now realizes that she needs to think positively and have belief in herself and the future. She feels more grounded and feels that she has reached a massive turning point in her attitude towards achieving the success that she desires. She is able to feel more relaxed when performing, is less rushed and anxious. She feels much more confident and positive and less concerned with the outcome, taking each stage as it comes and feeling good about herself.
